OUR STORY

In 1992, Washington DC natives Geoff Dawson and Mark Handwerger opened Bedrock Billiards, a funky little DC pool hall that has remained a local favorite for almost 25 years. What they didn't know at the time was that they had stumbled upon the formula for building successful neighborhood bars that could stand the test of time. In the next three years, energized by Bedrock's success, Geoff and Mark went on to build Atomic Billiards, Buffalo Billiards and Carpool, while forging the tools to open at least one location a year for almost two decades. But they both admit that it all circles back to Bedrock Billiards and building community, fun and friendship. Oh, and serving a few cold beers
